Permanent residence is granted under specific eligibility categories and is subject to annual administrative procedures and government approval. Applicants are generally expected to demonstrate lawful residence, financial stability, good conduct and compliance with Thai immigration regulations. Permanent residence does not automatically confer Thai citizenship.
