Monaco — Living: Utilities and Communications

The utility and telecommunications infrastructure in Monaco is highly advanced, fully integrated, and privately managed under state-regulated concessions. Electricity and gas are supplied exclusively by the Société Monégasque de l'Électricité et du Gaz (SMEG), which has made significant investments in regional green energy grids and thermal heat pumps. Drinking water and wastewater management are handled by the Société Monégasque des Eaux (SMEAUX). Monaco's digital and telecommunications framework is operated by Monaco Telecom, which provides ultra-fast fiber optic broadband and comprehensive 5G mobile coverage across the entire Principality.
